so.
lately there have been some really great things happening(and about to happen) in my life.
:)
last friday i met with an agent at one of the most prestigious model management companies in the world.
we talked about her job(my dream job).
and we talked about me interning for the company next summer.
basically what i have been waiting to do for about half of my life.
i cannot even say how amazing it was to be in an agency like that and know that there is a good chance that i could get my name in there.
i'm getting all excited just thinking about it :)
another thing.
i have been fortunate enough to meet the woman who organizes the annual hair show for Redken.
the event takes place in las vegas every february and there are about 45o models involved.
the news:
i'm going with her to the event this coming february :)
we are supposed to meet for lunch in the next week or two to discuss the details.
i am ridiculously excited.
basically----things are looking up. really up :)
Now let's talk about something that EVERYONE yes everyone hates.
Acne.
A few months ago I had a lot of blemishes on my face.
This was a surprise because I never really had skin problems.
I was breaking out mostly on my chin and around my mouth.
I finally went to the dermatologist and she said my breakouts were due to a hormonal imbalance.
the only way to get rid of this is medication.
By the way, almost all people who are experiencing regular breakouts only on their chin have a hormonal imbalance that is causing their acne.
She prescribed me an oral medication for the hormonal imbalance, and also gave me two topical creams to use on my face.
The first is used in the morning and is called clindamycin.

The other cream is Differin, which is used at night.
After using both of these for a few months my skin looks SO MUCH better!
I don't break out anymore and the quality of my skin has improved.
The only remnants of my old breakouts are slight acne scars(only visible up close), which only go away with time or a series of chemical peels. I am seriously considering the latter but that's a whole 'nother story.
Anyway, the moral of the story is: if you have persistent acne go to the dermatologist!!!! It is completely worth your time to rid yourself of the daily embarrassment that acne brings.
until next time---
